SimADCom comes up with applications as a hobby, and even though most of them are simple database applications, they can prove to be quite useful. mcAutotrack is such an application – it is a free tool you can use to stay on top of fuel and maintenance info for your car, truck, motorcycle, or any other type of vehicle. If you’re familiar with SimADCom’s MyCar-Monitor, the comprehensive car care software that helps you manage all vehicle-related records, then you need to know that mcAutotrack is a Lite version of MyCar-Monitor.

mcAutotrack can be installed on a PC powered by the following operating systems: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7. To install mcAutotrack on a PC powered by any of the aforementioned Windows editions, you will have to go through a standard setup procedure: download an executable, run it, follow the simple instructions presented by a setup wizard. Once the installation process completes, your default browser will launch and you will be directed to the SimADCom website; you will also be invited to open the READ ME file and open the mcAutotrack program.

mcAutotrack displays several modules on its interface: messages, maintenance, drivers, parts, a calendar, pictures, vehicle data, and more. You can easily switch from one module to another by clicking the tabs down at the bottom of the interface. And from the View menu in the upper left hand side you can choose which modules you want to see and which you want to hide away. Overall, the interface is very easy to navigate; it will take you little time to get accustomed to it.

From a functionality point of view, mcAutotrack allows you to keep track of the following: fuel consumption, maintenance costs, vehicle datasheet, vehicle pictures, a calendar and reminder, import MyCar-Monitor databases, tools to calculate the cost fuel consumption, travel cost, parts module, and more. Since the application is free, you have all the time in the world to uncover all the features and functions offered by mcAutotrack.

Please note that you will need to register your version of mcAutotrack to enjoy the functionality of this car care software. The nice thing is that registering the application is a simple task, one that will take little of your time.
